Carl Geyer Single French Horn For Restoration Project Artistic Endeavor-4QSMC for sale in Erie, CO

1 of 1
Up for auction is a used and rare Carl Geyer Chicago lacquered brass single french horn for restoration, parts, a project or an artistic endeavor. All valves, levers and slides move. This french horn would benefit from a professional cleaning upon delivery. There are dents present, the bell rim is uneven/out of round, one or more pin holes are present in the bell flare, some leadpipe corrosion is visible and no bell/body patches exist(one slide has a patch). This french horn has scratches throughout from normal use and the lacquer wear is minimal with approximately 85% present(engraving is not sharp and most likely has been re-lacquered at some point in time). There are noticeable signs of prior solder work and dent removal. No serial number is visible. Included is a somewhat worn non-original wood shell french horn case(latches work as intended, leather interior strap is intact-good for shipping but should probably be replaced with a better fitting case and the exterior has some marked out areas). Not often do Geyer horns become available for sale or still exist and research has found that approximately 1400 Carl Geyer horns were created!!This is from a now closed music store and is being sold in "as-is" condition with no returns!!
